How are students accepted and scheduled into the program?
Students are accepted and scheduled into the program based upon their date of birth. Older students are accepted and scheduled before younger students, except that seniors have priority over juniors.

Do I have to have a Learner's Permit before submitting my application?
In order to apply, you must have either a NYS DMV non-driver photo ID or a valid NYS DMV Learner's permit. These documents can take many weeks to obtain from the DMV especially if you do not have a social security card or your name does not appear exactly the same way on all DMV qualifying documents. Plan ahead and give yourself enough time to obtain these documents.

When do I have to get my Learner's Permit?
All students must posess a valid NYS Learner's Permit by the first day of class. Any student who has not obtained a Learner's Permit by the first day of class will be dismissed from the program.

I missed the registration deadline, can I still apply?
You can still apply, but without exception, students who submit their applications after registration has closed will be placed on the wait list. The order of the wait list is based upon date of birth. Older students are placed above younger students, except that seniors have priority over juniors.

I was not accepted into this semester's program, do I have to reapply for next semester?
YES. Applications DO NOT carry over from one semester to the next. If you are not accepted for a particular semester, you must re-apply if you wish to be considered for the next semester's program.
