The Locust Valley High School Falcons clinched a homecoming win against the West Hempstead Rams, with a final score of 40-7. Excellent coaching, talented players and support from the fans all contributed to this success.
The cheerleading and kickline squads along with the high school’s pep band performed at halftime, increasing an already spirit-filled day. Halftime festivities also included crowning juniors Matt Warner and Alyssa Zambuto as homecoming prince and princess, and seniors Matt Barnaby and Lily Dickman as king and queen. The Class of 2022 earned prizes for winning the spirit and float contests, which were based around the homecoming theme of “America.”
Each high school class manned their own table offering Falcon gear for sale, pumpkins to paint, a photo booth and snacks, all providing additional fun for the crowd and raising funds for their individual grades.
Members of Athletic Council worked at the concession stand selling refreshments and organized the day’s events, as well as Spirit Week and the Pep Rally, which both helped to get everyone ready to cheer the Falcons on. With a great win, all of the efforts were clearly a success!
