Because of their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/NMSQT, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation has recognized four Locust Valley High School seniors.
Jack Ferrante has been named a semifinalist in the prestigious competition. Jack is one of 16,000 students to perform at exceptional levels on the PSAT out of 1.5 million students that took the exam.
Nicholas Dellaquilo, Quinlan Ferrante and William (Jack) Shearer have been named commended students. They are among only 34,000 students nationwide to be named high scorers on the exam.
Jack Ferrante is now eligible to become a finalist in the competition by meeting high academic standards. If selected as a finalist, he will become eligible for National Merit Scholarships. Finalists will be announced in February.
Congratulations to all four students on this elite accomplishment!
