Twenty faculty members were celebrated on June 15 for earning positions on the district’s permanent staff. These individuals were granted tenure for their exceptional performances during the probationary period of their employment.
For making a difference in the education of our students, each tenure recipient was recognized at a ceremony held prior to the Board of Education meeting. Some of this year’s honorees earned tenure in 2020 but were not recognized at that time due to the pandemic.
“We grant tenure only to those who prove that they meet the exceptional standards set forth by the Locust Valley Central School District,” said Superintendent of Schools Kenneth E. Graham, Ed.D. “These faculty members have not only proven that hiring them was the right decision, but that keeping them is the best decision.”
