Jimmy has been participating in the club’s programs for 12 years, including College Prep, City Club and Money Matters. He is president of the Keystone Club, a community service leadership organization run by the club.
Stephanie Urio, Director of Teen Programs for the club said Jimmy has always been a great kid, dedicated to helping others. “He has grown so much over the years and will work hard to achieve his goals moving forward. We are excited to see what he will accomplish next,” she said.
At school, Jimmy maintains excellent grades, and is a member of the varsity soccer team, the LVTV club and the Kendama Club. He works part time for the Locust Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Jimmy’s guidance counselor Jillian Celli said that volunteering has taught Jimmy how to be more empathetic, more efficient in communicating with others, and has given him outstanding leadership skills. “Jimmy has shown his commitment to doing outreach and service within his community and his love for service is part of his fabric, which will follow him wherever he goes in life,” Ms. Celli said. “I am confident that Jimmy will excel in his studies and become a leader on the campus of Ithaca College next year.”
Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement, Jimmy.
