Members of the high school’s Interact Club gained insight into how their charitable efforts actually helped individuals in need. After holding a schoolwide clothing drive, club members Avery DeNatale, Lindsay Hawkins, Michaela Maura, Shirley Medina, Lily Tiglias and Avery Ward delivered their collection to Dress for Success in Brookhaven. While there, the students helped two women put together outfits, one for a job interview and the other for the start of a new job.
Club adviser Erica Reilly said the students really enjoyed helping the women find clothing that gave them confidence. “This opportunity helped the club members understand that their clothing drive actually made a difference to the recipients,” she said.
