These are the units of measurement
used in the United States
 

Length

12 inches (in) = 1 foot (ft)
3 feet or 36 inches = 1 yard (yd)
1760 yards or 5280 feet  = 1 mile (mi) bonus if memorized
   

Capacity

8 fluid ounces = 1 cup
2 cups = 1 pint (pt)
2 pints = 1 quart (qt)
4 quarts = 1 gallon (gal)
   

Weight

16 ounces (oz) = 1 pound (lb)
2000 pounds = 1 ton (T)
   

Temperature

32F = freezing point of water
98.6F = normal body temperature
212F = boiling point of water
