The artwork of two LVHS students has been chosen for the 23rd Annual Legislature Exhibit in Albany. Juniors Kristen Murray and Alana LaPreziosa submitted paintings from their International Baccalaureate SL portfolio. Sponsored by the Long Island Art Teachers Association (LIATA), the art exhibit features student artwork from across Long Island.

Art teacher Melanie Mooney said it is wonderful that organizations such as LIATA showcase student art work in prominent locations such as the legislative offices. “Through exhibits such as this one, many people can enjoy the work of our talented students.”

The artwork will be on display March 4–8 at the Legislative Office Building, “Well” Area in Albany.
