LVHS Teacher Receives Distinguished Service Award

The Locust Valley Central School District congratulates physical education teacher Carolyn Collins for receiving the Section VIII Distinguished Service Award from the New York State Athletic Administrators Association. Ms. Collins was recognized for receiving this award, by the LVCSD Board of Education.

The award is given to an individual who has made a significant difference in athletics.
Ms. Collins teaches middle school and high school physical education and was nominated for the award by the district’s Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics, Mark J. Dantuono. He explained that Ms. Collins exemplifies the dedication to athletics that students deserve and her hard work

“Her unprecedented commitment to our student-athletes as a coach and her exceptional involvement in our Athletic Council are some of the reasons why I nominated her and why she deserved this honor,” said Mr. Dantuono.
