We are very proud to announce that our LVHS Varsity Baseball team is now ranked fourth in Class B in New York State. This is the highest ranking in Class B among all Long Island schools. The team will be advancing to the semifinals. The success of the team can be attributed to many factors including the incredible hard work and commitment of the players and our dedicated coaching staff.

Many of our athletes began playing sports through community organizations such as the Bayville Community Little League. All of the community youth athletic organizations contribute to the growth of our athletes in all sports, such as Oak Neck Athletics, St. Gertrude’s CYO Basketball, Locust Valley-Bayville Soccer League and Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club which provided them the foundation they needed as young athletes to succeed on the varsity level.

Mark J. Dantuono, Director of Physical Health, Physical Education & Athletics said the support of the community is vital to the success of the Locust Valley athletic program. “Our community’s athletic programs prepare our students for competitive sports and continue to support these athletes as they begin to play interscholastic athletics,” he explained. “We are so grateful to these organizations and to our dedicated coaches for all they do.”
