Join the Locust Valley High School Jesters for an evening of madcap delight as they present “The Drowsy Chaperone,” winner of five Tony Awards, including best book and best original score. “The Drowsy Chaperone” is a loving send-up of the Jazz Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another.

With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record, the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and the story begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in a couple on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theater producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for a musical within a comedy that you won’t want to miss.

Performances will be held in the Locust Valley High School auditorium on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and can be purchased online at https://LVHS.seatyourself.biz.
