Thanksgiving arrived a bit early for third graders at Locust Valley Intermediate School, thanks to the Parents’ Council. The annual third grade feast was a festive kick off to the holiday season. Complete with turkey, cranberry sauce, corn bread, and pumpkin and apple pies, the feast was an opportunity for the children to share the holiday together and discuss the things for which they are thankful.

Pop-up turkeys and colorful pumpkins decorated the cafeteria as members of the LVI Parents Council served the feast with help from the faculty.  Individual third grade classes spent time discussing what students were thankful for as well as the history of the holiday.

One thing they are thankful for is the feast!
