Audiences took an exciting trip from Kansas to Oz when student actors at Locust Valley Intermediate School presented the “Wizard of Oz.” From Dorothy and Toto to the lion, scarecrow and tin man, these young thespians produced a show worthy of any stage.

Students portrayed these main characters along with the munchkins, the good and wicked witches and of course, the Wizard during three performances in one day. With the help of parents and the Locust Valley Parents’ Council, the play was produced by mainstages, an educational theater company for children.

Creative costumes and sets enhanced the show, however it was the actors that brought it to life through weeks of practices after school. Congratulations to the entire cast!
