Senior lacrosse player Mike Madsen has been selected for the Nassau County All-American team, one of the highest accolades a male lacrosse player can earn.

He was one of nine Nassau County players to be selected for the 2016 team based on his performance during the spring lacrosse season.

Mike is a three-time All-County honoree and was a finalist for the All-American team in 2015.  A slick, dynamic lefty attackman, Mike excels in all aspects of the game.  He has the ability to dodge and isolate defenders from behind to create offensive scoring opportunities as well as the ability to see the field use what he sees to his team’s advantage.

Mike was the leader of the Falcons offense in 2016, when the team had a first-ever conference title and completed the regular season, 15-0 with an overall16-1 record. In the regular season Mike finished with 40 goals and 23 assists to combine for 63 points. Adding his playoff performance, his record is 70 points on 45 goals and 25 assists.

Mike is the ultimate team player and as senior captain he helped lead Locust Valley to its best season in history. He will attend St. John’s University in the fall where he will be a member of men’s lacrosse team.
