Locust Valley High School junior Patrick Halpin took first place in a 5K run sponsored by The Littlest Angel Foundation. Patrick was number one in a race that included 100 runners.

The third annual event was held at Syosset-Woodbury Park and was organized by LVHS Coach Michael Guidone and his wife who started the foundation in honor of the baby they lost seven years ago. The nonprofit uses proceeds from the run to educate families on Trisomy 18, the syndrome that took the Guidone’s baby at birth.

Congratulations to Patrick on this outstanding achievement and way to go Coach Guidone for using your experience to help others and setting a great example for the LVHS students.
