Locust Valley student-athletes and alumni hit another one out of the park as they raised funds for the high school softball program this month. An alumni softball game brought together former and current softball players and coaches for a day of fun and fundraising.

An opportunity to show off the new dugouts, the event was held on the high school’s upper fields for community members. The new dugouts were the result of several fundraisers held by the varsity softball team, alumni and other community members.

Attended by more than 50 people, the June game raised another $700 for the softball program. Following the game, members of the varsity softball team joined their coaches, Nadine Pacifico and Jen Massa, and the Alumni Committee at the Falcon Pride beach party where they were thanked & honored on stage for all of their hard work.

“The best thing about the alumni game is seeing everybody reconnect,” said Alumni Committee member Cindy Tobin. “This year we were able to "show off" the dugouts that so many alumni donated to, so that made the game very special.”

LVCSD extends thanks to Falcon Pride, the varsity softball team, coaches Pacifico and Massa and the Alumni Committee members Kim Plaufmer, Laura Tini, Katie Schlicht and Cindy Tobin for their time and generosity!
