Bentley University junior guard Kim Brennan, a Locust Valley High School alumnus, has been selected for the All-Northeast-10 Conference first team. Brennan has led the Bentley Falcons women’s basketball team to an 18-9 regular season.

Brennan enters the upcoming conference playoffs as the only NE-10 player in the top five in both scoring and assists. Her scoring average of 16.6, best-ever by a Falcon point guard, is third in the Northeast-10, and her assist average of 4.6 ranks fourth. She’s also in the top ten in the conference in minutes, free throws made and attempted, free throw percentage, three-point accuracy and assist-turnover ratio.

Brennan was a starter in all 90 games of her college career and has scored 20 or more points ten times this season. Four of those have come in the last nine games, a stretch in which she’s averaged nearly 19 and shot 44 percent from three. She was also a second-team All-NE-10 pick as a sophomore and the conference’s Freshman of the Year two winters ago, and is up to 15th on Bentley’s all-time scoring list with 1,247 points. That’s the fifth highest total ever recorded by a Falcon prior to her senior season.

Congratulations to a Locust Valley graduate who is still making us proud!
