Locust Valley High school, in conjunction with Operation Democracy, will be holding its second annual Painting for Peace Gallery Show. The Opening reception will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday May 24th at the gallery directly above the Basil Leaf Café in the Plaza shopping center.  Please join us for this very special event.  In addition, the gallery will be open for viewing on Friday the 25th from noon to five and on Saturday the 26th from eleven to five.

Additionally, during the Locust Valley Strawberry festival, this Memorial Day weekend, 25 stores will be displaying student art work for the annual Student Art Walk.

President of Operation Democracy, Kay Weninger said supporting the students is important. “The art walk was created not only as a way to showcase students’ talents but to also give the community a special event to come and walk around the village.”

Take some time this weekend to view the artwork of our extremely talented high school artists!
