The Locust Valley High School varsity wrestling team earned the title of Nassau County Division II champions and is currently ranked number one in the state in its division. Earning the county title qualified the team to compete in the first-ever dual-meet championship sponsored by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association on Jan. 27 in Syracuse, New York.

The team took the county title for the sixth-consecutive season after defeating Cold Spring Harbor High School on Jan. 16. Senior Will Holowchak sealed the victory with a win in his 170-lb. weight class.

Twenty-five Falcons will compete against wrestlers from 11 other teams at the highly competitive NYSPHSAA dual-meet championship in which Locust Valley has earned the first seed.

Congratulations and good luck to the Falcons!
