Locust Valley High School alum Sean Simensky has been named the Class of 2012 Valedictorian at LI University, C.W. Post Campus. Sean has maintained a 3.99 GPA, and has earned the LIU Post Academic Achievement Award, the university’s highest honor.

Sean, who plans to attend law school in the fall, received an IB Diploma from Locust Valley High School. He graduated from C.W. Post a full semester early due to the college credits he received from taking AP and IB courses at LVHS. Sean said the IB program helped him work within deadlines, and think of things in a global way, rather than a local way – a way of thinking that gave him one step ahead in college.

“I have great memories from high school,” Sean said. “I had such a great experience and still remember the dedication of my teachers.” He said the incredible teachers he had in Locust Valley made an impact on him and he credits them with helping him to succeed.

As a History major, with a double minor in Political Science and Sociology, Sean is well prepared for law school. He has already been accepted to, and received a scholarship from, Touro Law School, and is waiting to hear from St. John’s and Hofstra. He currently has an internship at a law firm since he completed his degree requirements in December.

Congratulations, Sean! We look forward to hearing about your future successes!
