Armed with school supplies and a healthy dose of caution, kindergarteners joined their LVCSD peers for the first day of school on Sept. 5. At Ann MacArthur Primary School and Bayville Primary School, members of the Class of 2030 learned the rules and their way around the buildings while making new friends. Teachers combined tender loving care with their lessons to ensure each student felt comfortable in their new home away from home. Based on the smiles on the faces of the students, the first day of their school careers was a success.

Sixth graders at the middle school felt successful after navigating through the switching of classes and opening of lockers. They also made new friends as both of the district’s intermediate schools joined together as one.

At the high school, classes jumped right into the curriculum, beginning engaging and thoughtful lessons.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend open houses at each school to meet the teachers and learn what is ahead for the school year.
