Three high school students have earned the W!SE Financial Literacy Certification based on their exceptional performance on the certification exam. Seniors Sean Burnett, Stephen Falgoust and Fizzah Munawar earned scores above 95 to qualify for the certificate.

The program, which is embedded in the grade 12 Economics Regents level courses, provides quality personal finance education and empowers students to become certified in financial literacy. Through the high school’s participation in the program, students take a certification test, which is aligned to New York state and national standards. The school has a resources directory, access to an online database of practice quizzes and monthly webinars featuring guest presenters.

All participating schools teach a course or unit on personal finance and then administer the nationally-standardized test, which assesses students’ knowledge of personal finance topics, including money, credit, banking, insurance and investing.

Congratulations to Sean, Stephen and Fizzah on this remarkable accomplishment!
