A faculty member who receives tenure must first prove that he or she has made a difference in the classroom and exemplifies best practices in the position held. Teachers and administrators in the district are held accountable to high standards before being awarded tenure. This year, five faculty members earned this prestigious honor and were celebrated at a reception hosted by the Board of Education.

The Principals shared with the honorees and their guests the attributes that make each of them stand out as excellent educators. Problem solving-skills, differentiated teaching and collaboration were among the many traits these teachers shared.

Congratulations to the following faculty members on receiving tenure: Margaret Costello, Carolyn Keys, Amanda Noren, Maureen Pederson and Christine Worsdale.
