Locust Valley High School Football Coach Matt McFarland has been selected as Coach of the Year by the Nassau County Football Coaches Association for Conference IV.  Coach McFarland was recognized for his team’s outstanding performance during the 2011-2012 football season. The Locust Valley Varsity Football team completed the regular season with a 7-1 record finishing first in the conference and an overall record of 8-2

“We are proud of Coach McFarland, not only for the successful team that he created this year, but more importantly for his dedication to the boys that he coaches,” stated Mark J. Dantuono, Locust Valley Central School District Director of Physical Education, Health, and Athletics. “They played hard as a team and worked hard on and off the field. That stems from Coach McFarland’s leadership skills.”
