The Locust Valley Central School District is pleased to welcome Kimberly Ferina as the District Coordinator of Math, K-12. Ms. Ferina comes to Locust Valley with nearly two decades of experience as a mathematics teacher and administrator.

Ms. Ferina held her most recent position at West Hempstead UFSD as Director of Mathematics and Computer Education, K-12. In this position, she supervised and evaluated mathematics and computer education teachers. She provided professional development, established APPR guidelines and worked collaboratively with fellow administrators to implement Board and District goals.

Ms. Ferina also served as District Chairperson of Mathematics, K-12 for the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District and was a math and computer science teacher on Long Island prior to that. She holds a Bachelor of Science in pure mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and statistics from Stony Brook University and a Master of Science in educational leadership from CUNY Brooklyn College.

“I am excited about being part of the Locust Valley Schools and working collaboratively with the teachers and administrators to provide the best possible mathematics foundation for children from kindergarten to senior year,” Ms. Ferina said.
