The Locust Valley Jesters presented an outstanding performance of Thornton Wilder’s masterpiece “Our Town” this past weekend.

The drama about two ordinary families living in adjacent houses in sleepy Grover's Corners, N.H. in the early years of the 20th century has been described by many as the Great American Play. The Jesters' performance of this classic was enjoyed by the entire audience. At times both heartwarming and heartbreaking, "Our Town" follows the daily lives of these families. Through birth, love, work, marriage, death, and the slow, inevitable passage of time, Wilder reminds us of the eternals of the human condition.

As the Stage Manager, Ernest Schieferstein narrated Wilder's immortal tale. Also featured were George White and Hannah Milnes as Dr. and Mrs. Gibbs, Alexander Van Patten and Christina Boutros as Editor and Mrs. Webb, and Teddy Kahn and Emily Parks as George and Emily along with many other LVHS students who brought the townspeople of Grover’s Corners to life.
