Locust Valley High School has announced Quinlan Ferrante as the Class of 2016 valedictorian and Pamela Guerra as salutatorian. The two seniors have attained this elite status through tremendous dedication to their studies.

Quinlan has a 108.7 grade point average. He earned a perfect 800 on the SAT math and physics subject tests and a perfect 36 on three out of four sections of the ACT. He also earned scores of 100 on two Regents exams and 99 on two other Regents, and is an AP Scholar with Distinction and an IB diploma candidate. Quinlan is a member of and holds leadership positions on The Spectrum, the Robotics team and Quiz Bowl. His community service includes tutoring and working on the school musical. Quinlan is also a member of the boys tennis team.

Pamela holds a GPA of 108.6. She earned scores of 100 on four Regents exams, with a 99 average on the nine Regents exams she has taken and a perfect 5 on both the AP World History exam and the AP U.S. History exam. She has taken a total of 12 Advanced Placement and IB courses. Pamela is a member of the National Honor Society, Odyssey of the Mind and Relay for Life and has held leadership positions in each of them. She is also highly active in community service, especially as a member of St. Gertrude's Parish in Bayville.
