Locust Valley Middle School Students have new opportunities this school year to enhance their athletic skills. Through a new intra-scholastic sports program, students in sixth through eighth grades will have the benefit of daily sports instruction in a variety of sports. Those students not playing on a Middle School sports team can attend the intra-scholastic program in order to continue enhancing their skills, stay physically fit, and prepare for high school athletics.

Students will meet three days per week after school. Fall sports will include football and boys and girls soccer. Winter sports will include girls volleyball and boys and girls basketball. Spring offerings will include baseball, softball, and boys and girls lacrosse. Each sport will be staffed by a certified coach and will be overseen by the head coach of the LVHS varsity team.

Any middle school student interested in participating should attend the orientation session on Tuesday, September 20 at 3:00 p.m. in the Middle School/High School gymnasium. A detailed overview of the program will be presented and students will have the opportunity to ask questions.
