Participation in extracurricular activities allows students to experience a variety of activities, develop new interests and expand their resumes. It can also help students make new friends and experience the joys of giving back. In addition, college admissions officers look for students with well-rounded portfolios.

These activities can range from participating on an athletic team to joining clubs that focus on anything from reading and writing to scientific discovery. This extensive array of clubs and activities provide Locust Valley Middle and High School students with choices that will help them succeed in many ways. In order to showcase these options and allow students to learn about each activity, the schools held activity fairs. Club members and their advisors set up booths in the cafeteria where students were able to view sample projects, ask questions and sign up on the spot.
