The LVHS Girls Varsity Lacrosse team has advanced to the Nassau County Class C Championship for the first time in Locust Valley history after defeating cross-town rival Cold Spring Harbor High School. The game went into double overtime and finally ended in a sudden death period as the Lady Falcons persevered in a stunning fashion 13-12.
"Our team displayed courage, toughness and most importantly, outstanding character," said Mark J. Dantuono, Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics. "They were trailing most of the game but our Lady Falcons kept coming as they realized the game could be theirs. The results speak for themselves."
Congratulations to our Coaches Kristen Hordy and Carolyn Sumcizk and the entire team on a very successful season so far!
Please come out and support the Locust Valley Falcons as they continue their season in the County Championship against North Shore High School on Wednesday, June 1, at 5:00 p.m. at Hofstra University. There will be $6.00 admission fee.
