The Spectrum, the LVHS student newspaper, has earned a first place award from the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA). The award is given for excellence in writing, photography, design, and overall production. The Spectrum also earned an “Outstanding Editorial” award for an editorial entitled “Removal of Midterm Week Threatens Students’ Success,” which was written collaboratively by the editorial staff.
