Selecting courses each year is an extremely important process. While the course guide presents valuable information, we recognize that many parents and students often have questions that extend beyond the written description of the course. With this in mind we have coordinated our second annual Course Information Evening.

Please join us on Thursday January 16 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Many of our teachers will be available to discuss specific information and share materials which relate to the courses they currently teach. You and your child will have the opportunity to discuss course requirements, assessments, expectations, review sample assignments and projects and much, much more.

The format will be similar to a college fair which allows you to come at a convenient time and stay for as long as you are available. This is a wonderful time for you to see first-hand the variety of elective courses we offer as well as exposure to many of the IB and AP courses that make Locust Valley the wonderful high school that we are.

We genuinely look forward to sharing our teachers and courses with you and hope you will join us for this unique opportunity. This event will be followed by our College Application Information Workshop at 7:00pm in the Auditorium, which will include an informative presentation targeted for juniors however open to everyone that would like to attend.

The teachers, counselors and administrators look forward to seeing all of you on Thursday January 16th.
