Receiving tenure in the Locust Valley Central School District is an honor – it is only given to the best of the best. Candidates for tenure have beaten out the competition to secure a job in the district and then must prove that they were the right choice. At a beautiful reception held in the Locust Valley High School Library, this year’s tenure recipients were recognized for their contribution to the schools.

Superintendent of School Dr. Anna F. Hunderfund and the LVCSD Board of Education hosted the reception, while administrators shared with guests the accomplishments of the honorees. The tenure recipients included Lisa Cameron, Bayville Intermediate School Reading Teacher; Edward Cannone, K-12 Reading and ELA Coordinator; Sari Goldberg, Locust Valley Elementary Schools Reading Teacher; Rebecca Gottesman, Locust Valley High School Assistant Principal; Howard Hogan, Locust Valley Middle School Principal; Kelly Reno, Locust Valley High School Guidance Counselor; Marc Yavoski, Locust Valley Middle School/High School Music Teacher.

Dr. Hunderfund said the dedication and hard of the faculty members such as these tenure recipients help to make Locust Valley the excellent school district that it is. “We are fortunate to have an outstanding staff and it is a pleasure to honor those who have proven they will be an asset to the schools.”

Congratulations to all of the tenure recipients!
