Three Locust Valley High School athletes have received recognition from the U.S. Lacrosse Association as High School All-Academic honorees. The association recognizes high school lacrosse players for their sportsmanship, lacrosse achievements and academic achievements – to qualify, lacrosse players must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

LVHS Senior Emily Schlicht, and Class of 2013 graduates Taylor Bleistein and Bairre Reilly earned the All-Academic designation after being nominated by their coaches.

In addition to being a valuable member of the Varsity Lacrosse team, Emily is also on the Varsity Field Hockey team and is the team captain.  Emily is an outstanding student and is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Science Research Program. She participates in various extracurricular activities and with an aptitude for math and the sciences, Emily is considering a future in medicine.
 
Taylor and Bairre are both playing Lacrosse in college. Bairre plays for the University of Maryland and Taylor for Penn State University.
Bairre earned All-Long Island, All-County and All-Conference honors while playing lacrosse for Locust Valley High School. Taylor earned
All-County and All-Conference honors as well.
