Senior Stephanie Bousleiman has been named a News12 Scholar Athlete. She is the second LVHS senior to receive this honor this year – and it is the first time in Locust Valley history that two students have been named News12 Scholar Athletes in the same year. Senior Kevin Rieger received the honor earlier this spring.

Stephanie is the Class of 2013 Salutatorian and an outstanding member of the Sagamore Rowing Association.  She is an AP Scholar with Honors and has earned Outstanding Achievement in Math, French, Chemistry, and Social Studies, and placed in a National French contest. Stephanie is a member of the National Honor Society and French Honor Society. She will graduate with an IB Diploma, Diploma with Distinction, Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation and Honors, and a Mastery Diploma in Math & Science.

Stephanie devotes countless hours to training and competing with the Sagamore Rowing Association and has placed in the top three of many Regattas and participated in several invitational events.

LVCSD Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics, Mark J. Dantuono said Stephanie is a star. “Academically, she is exceptional. Her accolades are evident of her commitment and dedication to being a well-rounded and talented student-athlete.”  He added that the sport of rowing is extremely demanding and requires a tremendous amount of time and dedication.

Stephanie will be attending MIT this fall. Congratulations to Stephanie on this outstanding achievement.
